Microsoft tries again for Yahoo deal

Microsoft said it's again talking with Yahoo, this time discussing a deal that would not involve a full acquisition of the Silicon Valley portal. Yahoo said late Sunday that it is open to offers that are good for its shareholders. Last week, investor Carl Icahn floated a plan to replace the Yahoo board and revive Microsoft's bid. Yahoo has also been talking with Google about an advertising partnership that would increase Yahoo's revenue from Internet searches.
