New York Fed's lending move paying off

The Federal Reserve Board of New York has created three new lending entities that allow banks to swap up to $350 billion of securities they cannot sell for cash or U.S. Treasuries. The move, which was is aimed at freeing up the nation's seized-up credit markets, appears to be working.
