Nordic central banks join forces to help Iceland

The central banks of Sweden, Norway and Denmark are working together to provide an unprecedented €1.5 billion emergency funding package to stabilize Iceland's banking system and its troubled currency. The plan allows Iceland's central bank to acquire as much as €500 million from each of the three other central banks.
