Social Nets sorting out how open they want to be

MySpace and Facebook are trying to walk a fine line between opening up their sites and user information to Google, Yahoo! and other third-party developers, while still trying to maintain control over their businesses. "There's a lot that needs to be sorted out," said Ken Cassar, a VP at Nielsen//NetRatings. "There's going to be a need for cooperation between companies that are competing with one another."
