Woodcock's return to CDER may improve drug approval climate

Some analysts say Janet Woodcock's return to head the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research is having a positive impact on the drug approval environment at the FDA, citing more green lights for tough product approvals in recent months. Woodcock says there haven't been any changes to approval standards, but says that she has been involved in some recent approval decisions, particularly those using risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.
