Corporate bond market thaws with $6B in new issues

Nearly $6 billion in new corporate bond market issues is currently being offered. "The investment-grade market is wide open to seemingly any credit in any industry, subject obviously to price," said Tom Murphy, sector leader and portfolio manager at RiverSource Investments. "The window might close, but not yet." Investors have been flocking to the vehicles, taking on more risk in hopes of receiving bigger yields than Treasurys are currently offering.
