Las Vegas studies how to ease congestion on I-15

Transportation officials in Las Vegas are studying ways to ease congestion on Interstate 15. Consultants estimate I-15 will carry 80% more traffic in 2030 than 2006, but there is no space to expand portions of the freeway. Officials considered a double-deck freeway but are now looking at high-occupancy vehicle lanes and drop ramps to accommodate more traffic.
