Pennsylvania county plans green roof for office building

Allegheny County officials announced plans to install a green roof on half of the County Office Building in downtown Pittsburgh. The county will keep one half of the roof as is and measure the difference in storm-water runoff between the two sides. Downtown Pittsburgh also boasts two other green roofs at the Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield building Place and the Heinz 57 Center.
