Sen. Dorgan wants investigation into safety at regional airlines

In a letter to the inspector general of the Transportation Department, Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., said the circumstances of an airline crash near Buffalo in February raise questions about safety enforcement at regional airlines. Dorgan said that, to be credible, regulations must be coupled with Federal Aviation Administration oversight.
