Shire says ADHD drug improves symptoms in children

Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder showed improvement in "oppositional symptoms," including defiant and argumentative behavior, after receiving Shire's drug Intuniv, the company announced. The U.K. company is still awaiting FDA approval for the drug, which does not appear to have abusive properties, unlike other ADHD medicines.
