EPA is urged to extend E10's volatility tolerance to E15

The Renewable Fuels Association is urging the Environmental Protection Agency to approve for E15 a volatility tolerance of 1 pound per square inch under Reid Vapor Pressure standards, ahead of the agency's decision on the request to boost the ethanol blend limit from E10 to E15. Currently, a 1 psi RVP tolerance only applies for blends up to E10. The move would ensure that suppliers have the necessary gasoline blendstock for mixing with 15% ethanol, said Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association.
