GMA: No new reason to question BPA safety

GMA has issued a statement affirming that scientific and regulatory sources consider bisphenol A safe for use in cans. "Regulatory agencies around the world have based their safety affirmation of BPA on a wealth of data," said Robert E. Brackett, GMA's senior vice president and chief science and regulatory affairs officer, noting that the Food and Drug Administration recently affirmed that food in cans containing BPA is safe.
