Kansas DOT, Amtrak propose expanding rail service

The Kansas Transportation Department and Amtrak unveiled proposals to expand passenger train service in the state, with plans ranging in cost from $100 million to $400 million. Proposals would add Amtrak service in Kansas and nearby states, including Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
