Loggers strike historic deal with environmentalists

Environmental activists and logging companies have struck a deal to protect a huge portion of Canada's northern forests, in what both sides are calling the largest forest-protection deal in history. Nine environmental groups have agreed to call off boycotts of 21 forestry companies in exchange for a promise to halt logging operations across 71 million acres of forested land.
