Minn. ethanol plant wins Energy Dept. award for energy savings

The Corn Plus ethanol plant near Winnebago, Minn., received an Energy Champion award from the Department of Energy for achieving more than 250,000 British thermal units of energy savings, or more than 15%, in one year's time. The plant, with capacity of 49 million gallons per year, was among 56 industrial facilities that won the award this year.
