Official says Obama plan will do little to increase lending:

Paul Atkins of the Congressional Oversight Panel criticized President Barack Obama's plan to boost small-business lending, saying it, like the Troubled Asset Relief Program, will do little to increase economic stability. "After a thorough review, we found little evidence that these programs have had a noticeable effect on business credit availability," Atkins told the House Financial Services Committee.
