US Airways chief speaks on mergers, government policy

US Airways CEO Doug Parker told members of the Washington Aero Club this week that government regulations threaten to undermine the aviation industry's efforts to recover from the economic downturn. Meanwhile, Parker said he supports a proposed merger between rivals Continental and United, a move he said would strengthen the industry as a whole.
