Burning the midnight oil -- without burning out

If you're both an entrepreneur and a parent, chances are you regularly work a 9 p.m.-to-midnight shift after putting the children to bed. For Lexy Funk, founder of clothing retailer Brooklyn Industries, the late shift is a time to review numbers, check the company Facebook page and do strategic planning. Although she has stopped working until 2 a.m., she says she still double-checks her numbers in the morning, and she's learned to knock off when her brain gets too tired.
