Group releases principles that should guide NCLB reform:

A group of 10 state schools chiefs called Chiefs for Change has released a list of principles that should guide lawmakers as they overhaul No Child Left Behind. The group says a revision of the federal education law should emphasize rigorous accountability. The guidelines call for using annual reading and math assessments to evaluate students and teachers, a focus on learning gains, a school grading system and the use of interventions.
