MnDOT practices the art of estimation to prep for Vikings stadium

The director of the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota, Tom Worke, explains that estimating project costs is "by no means a scientific exercise, it is more art form and experience that comes into play." This is precisely how the Minnesota Department of Transportation came up with the figure of $131 million to improve Arden Hills as it prepares to deal with the future construction of Vikings Stadium, a sum 25% lower than the previous estimate.
