Why we need to add value to CSR reports

Some of the world's leading corporate-reporting experts say it's time to reconsider the rush to produce CSR reports. Instead, companies should focus on finding ways to parse CSR data into meaningful value-creation strategies -- integrated reporting, said some experts at last week's meeting of the International Integrated Reporting Committee. "When we talk about sustainability without the context of value creation, we diminish the potential and the opportunity and the speed with which the transition will happen," said Nike's Hannah Jones at a recent award ceremony for sustainability reporting.
