BLM releases environmental impact study on Ariz. wind project

The Bureau of Land Management has issued a final environmental impact analysis for a wind farm in Mohave County, Ariz. Although BP Wind Energy North America proposed the construction of 283 wind turbines, BLM prefers to set a limit of 243 turbines and reduce the land area by 12 square miles. The agency would also restrict BP Wind's activity to certain operating times for the protection of golden eagles.
