Boeing keeping close eye on 787 batteries, other parts

Boeing and the carriers that fly its 787s will be keep a close watch on the battery issues that grounded the jets -- along with other components such as software and electrical panel parts. According to a Boeing report, the 787 has the most frequent issues upon first powering up, which can affect on-time departures, taking "more time on average to clear than those detected during any other phase of flight."
