House to tackle Keystone XL pipeline bill this week

The House of Representatives will vote on legislation that would authorize TransCanada to build the northern leg of its Keystone XL pipeline this week. According to the bill, the U.S. needs a "fast, reliable, resilient and environmentally sound means of moving energy" to maintain its competitive edge. The Keystone XL pipeline helps meet that objective and also curbs reliance on "insecure foreign sources," the measure states.
