Geofencing helps stores engage customers after closures

Retailers are gleaning more customers and building engagement with geofencing by targeting consumers after hours or after stores have closed. "Retailers can geofence an area around the closed store and alert consumers to nearby locations and even provide special deals to those consumers if they go to another store. It's a way to maintain loyalty," Spotzot CEO Pehr Luedtke said.
