Macy's joins brands testing Facebook video ads

Macy's is the first retailer to try out Facebook's video ads in newsfeeds. The ads promoted store and online sales, plus a new line from Tommy Hilfiger and Zooey Deschanel. Users could swipe to move among three ads, click to make them full-screen size and use calls-to-action buttons to share and comment. "This new video advertising platform allows us to extend the reach of our broadcast advertising for the first time on Facebook," said Orlando Veras, Macy's national media relations director.
