Bay Area transit planners launch Web site to help with traffic

Planners with the East Bay SMART Corridors Program have launched a Web site showing maps with real-time information on traffic flow of a frequently congested 40-mile stretch of the I-80-880 corridor in the San Francisco Bay Area. Transportation experts say they were not able to build more highway, and say they are instead hoping that technology can help offer traffic flow solutions.
