Online credit-recovery courses offer struggling students more options

With the heat on to improve graduation rates, some districts are looking to virtual schools, as opposed to in-school summer classes or remedial lessons, that offer programs for students who have failed or are failing traditional courses. Technology-based options, which program providers say they are able to tailor in a way that is geared toward credit recovery, have likewise been expanding.
