Pennsylvania panel explores solutions for water infrastructure

Charged by Gov. Ed Rendell with finding solutions for Pennsylvania's aging water and sewer systems, an expert panel is holding statewide hearings to seek input from residents. The Sustainable Water Infrastructure Task Force is scheduled to present its proposals to the governor's office by Oct. 1. One popular suggestion so far: Consolidate hundreds of local agencies into larger regional planning groups.
