Art teachers work together on curriculum, grading

The seven elementary-school art teachers in an Iowa district have developed a set of guidelines to measure student progress -- grading students on design, relevant vocabulary and art history. The teachers also are grading student assignments collaboratively, discussing the pieces as a group. The best works are saved digitally, so that teachers will have a more comprehensive grading guide.
