Greek yogurt goes mainstream

In the past few years, Greek yogurt has gone from niche item to mainstream grocery staple, with sales doubling in 2009 to reach 10% of all yogurt sales. The Greek company Fage brought the yogurt to American audiences in 1998, and now it is sold by major brands Dannon and Yoplait.
