Indiana governor speeds up construction of I-69 extension

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels has accelerated the timetable for the state's Interstate 69 extension, promising that the 94 miles from Evansville to Bloomington would be finished by the end of 2014. The Indianapolis Star estimates the project could cost between $820 million and $989 million -- about $120 million over budget.
