Kroll will use investigative expertise to form credit rating agency

Jules Kroll, who ran an international investigation firm for more than 30 years, is forming a credit rating agency. "I saw this as another version of due diligence," Kroll said. "You really look hard at what the underlying facts are, and then you rate them, which is what we've done for years but in a different context." The firm is being formed at a time when traditional credit rating agencies are under fire.
