Ohio to submit updated freight, passenger rail plan to FRA

With an eye on future federal funding, Ohio plans to submit an updated state rail plan to the Federal Railroad Administration. A 2008 law requires states seeking federal money for freight -- or passenger -- rail upgrades to renew their plans. The Ohio Rail Development Commission has approved a new plan that outlines the safe movement of freight and passengers via railways.
