Report: Goodby will steer Chevy creative

Joel Ewanick, the new U.S. marketing chief for General Motors, is looking to Omnicom shop Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to take the lead on creative for the Chevrolet nameplate -- a $600 million account. Ewanick worked with Goodby in his previous job as top marketer of Hyundai Motor America. Just a month ago, GM announced it was consolidating creative duties with Publicis, and bidding farewell to longtime shop Campbell-Ewald. Ewanick is reportedly bringing back Campbell-Ewald to work on retail and sponsorship ads.
