Housing recovery is years away, survey respondents say

The U.S. housing market won't make a recovery until at least 2014, say more than half of respondents to a Trulia and RealtyTrac survey of homeowners and renters. "Demand remains weak, loans are increasingly difficult to qualify for and the shadow inventory of several million distressed properties is weighing down the market," said Rick Sharga, senior vice president at RealtyTrac. "All of these things need to improve before housing can recover."
