Philly-area gardeners share their harvests with the community

Gardeners in the Philadelphia area are helping their neighbors and communities eat healthier through formal and informal agreements to share their harvests of fresh produce. The motivation can be a desire to give poor inner-city families in so-called "food deserts" better access to affordable fresh vegetables, a need to share labor or simply to find homes for excess produce.
