Survey finds voter support for more food safety funding

A survey commissioned by the Pew Charitable Trusts found that 66% of 1,015 likely voters said they are in favor of providing the FDA additional financing to help the agency perform its tasks under the food safety law. The poll also found that almost 75% of the respondents said they approve of a 1% to 3% increase in food prices to help fund measures in the law.
