AT&T touts Digital Life success, expands markets

AT&T announced it will bring its Digital Life home control system on Friday to seven more markets ranging in size from Sacramento, Calif., to Washington, D.C. At a pre-CTIA 2013 event in Las Vegas, the division's head, Kevin Peterson, gave an update on the security and automation system, saying the business is drawing in more customers who are taking on additional services. Also at AT&T, the carrier said Monday that it would allow its unlimited plan customers to use Apple's FaceTime video chat application and similar apps for Samsung Electronics and BlackBerry devices and that by year-end it will expand the capability to all users regardless of their plan.
