Australian budget aims to tighten tax deductions for multinationals

The Australian government hopes to collect AU$14.3 billion more in taxes during the next decade with the help of new corporate-tax rules that some multinational companies have called a missed opportunity for reform. The most important rules try to prevent multinationals from deliberately allocating tax-deductible expenses to their Australian operations.
