Combat training in N.C. includes women

Four women this month completed the Riverine Combat Skills course in Camp Lejeune, N.C., one of the first combat training programs to include women since the military ended its ban on women in combat roles. All four acknowledged having trouble with some of the physically challenging aspects of the course, such as dragging partners across a field, but they said teamwork enabled them to overcome the challenges.
