How Al Gore got rich by wearing night-vision goggles

Adopting a sustainable investment strategy is akin to wearing night-vision goggles that let you see parts of the spectrum your rivals miss, Al Gore said in a speech last week. An example: Gore's investment firm ditched its investments in BP before the Deepwater Horizon disaster because it was concerned about the company's environmental and safety policies. "If you take the rest of the sustainability factors into account, you can get a fuller and more realistic image, and that's what we try to do," Gore said.
