How digital technology is changing the role of teachers

Some teachers say their role has changed to acting more as facilitators, coaches and guides with technology becoming more readily available in classrooms. "Because when the student has access to the same amount of information as a teacher, teaching has to change," said Steven W. Anderson, director of instructional technology in a North Carolina district. "Teachers simply can't do what they've traditionally done. It's impossible."
