La. LNG terminal project could cost $10B

Sempra Energy plans to build a liquefied natural gas export facility in Hackberry, La. It will cost up to $10 billion and could break ground next year. Mitsui & Co. will take a 16.6% stake in the facility, as will the JV team of Mitsubishi Corp. and Nippon Yusen. Sempra will retain a 50.2% stake and France’s GDF Suez will take the rest.
