Nearly $2B plan would upgrade Salt Lake City airport

Salt Lake City International Airport will get a $1.8 billion makeover to upgrade the facility. Work will start next spring and will last about a decade. The current horseshoe-shaped terminal will be modified to one where gates are in a straight line. Seismic upgrades and solar power are part of the plan.
