The pace of extreme global warming has slowed but remains worrisome, says a University of Oxford report. "We are still looking at warming well over the 2-degree [Celsius] goal that countries have agreed upon if current emission trends continue," warns Reto Knutti of ETH Zurich, one of the report's authors.
