A popular interactive feature on The New York Times' website that allowed viewers to examine multiple layers of a Picasso canvas inspired the newspaper's Idea Lab to craft a Wisk banner ad that showed users different levels of stains left by different detergents. The effort is part of The Times' overall effort to inject its online ads with more nuance and more value for advertisers.
