Samsung offers $800,000 in prizes for Galaxy S4 apps

Samsung Electronics is offering a total of $800,000 in winnings as part of a contest to get developers writing applications for the Galaxy S4 smartphone. Developers must use the Samsung Chord SDK and sell the resulting apps on the Samsung Apps store. They must also employ Samsung APIs for in-app purchases and advertisements to be eligible for the contest, which has a first-place individual prize of $200,000.
