Schumer reportedly met with N.Y. LGBT officials on immigration bill

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., held an off-the-record meeting with openly LGBT elected officials and other leaders in New York to discuss the inclusion of same-sex couples in a Senate immigration bill, according to Politico. New York Assemblyman Danny O'Donnell, Assemblywoman Deborah Glick and State Sen. Brad Hoylman were among those who expressed the importance of including a remedy for same-sex, binational couples.
