Scotland asked to raise the bar for teachers in maths, science

Scotland's national academy of science is seeking to raise the bar for teachers in maths and science in order to improve achievement in the subjects. This follows a report issued last year by the Science and Engineering Education Advisory Group, which found deficiencies in maths and science instruction in the country.
